Question 1

Is Seymour a real place?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Seymour, Tennessee, is a real unincorporated community in Sevier County, about 20 minutes south of Knoxville. The silos are real. The water towers are real. Everything else on this website is… enthusiastically interpreted.

Question 2

Is Ålborg really your sister city?

Accepted Answer

We declared it so in 1987. Whether Denmark agrees is a separate matter. We choose to believe the bond transcends formal acknowledgment.

Question 3

What does "seymour.dk" mean?

Accepted Answer

It's our domain name. The .dk is Denmark's country code, a tribute to our Danish heritage. If you're reading it differently, that says more about you than it does about us.

Question 4

Can I actually visit these attractions?

Accepted Answer

Seymour is a real place with real silos, but we should be clear: there is no Official Silo Inspection Bureau headquarters, no Erection Committee clubhouse, and the Pølse Festival exists only in our hearts. The silos, however, are very real and very tall.

Question 5

Where do you ship?

Accepted Answer

We ship worldwide. Our products are printed and fulfilled by partners across the globe, so your order ships from the facility closest to you. That means faster delivery and lower shipping costs, whether you're in Tennessee or Denmark.

Question 6

How long does shipping take?

Accepted Answer

United States: 3–7 business days
Canada: 7–15 business days
Europe: 7–15 business days
Denmark: 7–15 business days (we see you, Ålborg)
Australia/New Zealand: 10–20 business days
Everywhere else: 10–25 business days

Production takes 2–5 business days before shipping.

Question 7

How much does shipping cost?

Accepted Answer

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. We don't inflate shipping costs; what you see is what our fulfillment partners charge us.

Question 8

Can I track my order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If it doesn't arrive in your inbox, check your spam folder. Sometimes emails about silos end up there.

Question 9

My order hasn't arrived yet. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

First, check your tracking link. If it shows delivered but you don't have it, check with neighbors or your local post office. If it's been more than 30 days or tracking shows an issue, contact us and we'll make it right.

Question 10

What's the quality like?

Accepted Answer

We use premium print-on-demand partners who don't mess around. Apparel is soft, ring-spun cotton; stickers are durable, weatherproof vinyl; and everything is printed with care. We're proud of this stuff; it's not gas station souvenir quality.

Question 11

Who makes your products?

Accepted Answer

Our products are printed by a network of fulfillment partners through Printify. Each item is made to order, which means less waste and fresher prints.

Question 12

Do your shirts shrink?

Accepted Answer

Some minimal shrinkage may occur with cotton products after washing. When in doubt, size up. Our silos never shrink, but cotton sometimes does.

Question 13

What's your sizing like?

Accepted Answer

Each product page has a size chart. We recommend checking measurements rather than guessing. Our inspectors always measure twice.

Question 14

Are the stickers waterproof?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our vinyl stickers are weatherproof, scratch-resistant, and rated for outdoor use. Stick them on water bottles, laptops, cars, or the side of your favorite silo.

Question 15

What's your return policy?

Accepted Answer

Because each item is made to order, we can't accept returns for buyer's remorse. However, if your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 30 days with a photo, and we'll send a replacement or issue a refund.

Question 16

My item arrived damaged. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Email us with your order number and a photo of the damage. We'll sort it out quickly; nobody should receive a damaged silo inspector badge.

Question 17

I ordered the wrong size. Can I exchange it?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, we can't do direct exchanges on made-to-order items. You'd need to place a new order for the correct size. We know that's annoying, please check the size chart before ordering.

Question 18

Can I cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

If your order hasn't entered production yet, yes. Contact us immediately. Once production starts, we can't cancel those silos that are already being printed.

Question 19

Can I become an actual Silo Inspector?

Accepted Answer

Purchasing Official Silo Inspector merchandise grants you honorary credentials recognized by absolutely no government agency. But you'll look official, and isn't that what matters?

Question 20

Is the Erection Committee accepting new members?

Accepted Answer

The Committee's membership is purely symbolic. Buy the gear, and you're in. No application required. No background check. No measuring.

Question 21

Do you sell wholesale or bulk orders?

Accepted Answer

For bulk orders (10+ items), contact us, and we'll see what we can do. Group silo tours deserve group discounts.

Question 22

I have a question not listed here.

Accepted Answer

Contact us. We respond within 24–48 hours, sometimes faster if we're not busy inspecting silos.
